unfinishedness

I've been looking through 3D art galleries at what other people are doing. There's some really good stuff, a lot better than I could do. There is something annoying though, people posting work in progress in their main galleries when it belongs in scraps.
"THIS IS WORK IN PROGRESS OF SOMEONE'S HEAD"
*The scene has 5 gray polygons*
1. Stuff like this belongs in scraps. You don't see 2D artists posting half-painted pictures on their main page. : P
2. It messes up the final thing. Because everyone's watched you make it and rather than seeing the CG image you thought of, they're seeing the same polygons, just colored in. : p
Something that the character galleries are missing is scenery. It's either a solid color fill or a reflective floor or something - just like I've been doing. <.< I've thought about it and scenery makes characters more believable because you're not just showing a character, you're showing a glimpse of the world they live in too.
So I'm going to concentrate on making scenery for a while methinks and seeing if I can get characters to be part of it.
